Trade Stand Rules and Health
and Safety Requirements
The show
will be held Sunday 19th June 2011 at Otterington Hall,
South Otterington, Near Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
Craft
marquee space will be allocated on a block basis.
The cost is
£17.00 per metre frontage and the minimum size for a stand is
3m x 3m (£51). Please note that the depth measurement
cannot exceed the front measurement.
Please
remember to include caravan drawbars, marquee ropes and
other structures when calculating your space.
All stands
are to be erected by 8.30 am on the morning of the show.
Late arrivals will not be allowed onto the show field.
All
stands are responsible for their own rubbish. All rubbish
must be taken to the nearest wheelie bin point. Please
remember this field will be grazed by stock when the show is
over. The site must be cleared by 5.00 pm on Monday 20th
June 2011.
The Society
cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to any craft
stands. Special insurance should be acquired by the
stand holder.
In the
interests of animal safety, balloons are not allowed.
There is no
electricity on the field. Trade stand holders must supply
their own tables, chairs furniture etc; we only supply the
grass space.
Exhibitor’s
admission tickets will be issued as follows:
2 tickets for 3m to 9m frontage, 3 tickets for 10m to 14m
frontage and 4 tickets for 15m frontage and above.
Food Hygiene
The committee requires
that where vendors provide food and refreshments, their
staff should hold as a minimum a valid current Basic Food
Hygiene Certificate or a Foundation Certificate of Food
Hygiene. The Committee reserves the right to arrange for an
inspection of vendor’s premises.
Electrical Equipment
Electrical equipment is
the responsibility of the operators/ stand holders who must
ensure that all the statutory visual and technical
inspections are carried out at the prescribed intervals.
Cables must
either be buried or guarded in a manner to prevent persons
tripping or causing injury to themselves.
Marquees & Tents
All staging and penning
to be constructed so as to eliminate the risk of collapse
and not to have any sharp edges or protrusions, which could
possibly cause injury.
No guy
ropes and other equipment are to be left in such a manner
likely to cause an injury or accident.
Data Protection
Please note the fact
that you have entered the North Yorkshire County Show, means
that your name and address will be entered into and
published in our list of exhibitors. We may also use this
information for promotion publicity and future mailings
undertaken by or on behalf of this show society.
